Groups & Programs

At United Minds, we are working on creating spaces for people to connect with others and improve their wellbeing, in addition to individual therapy sessions.

We are planning a variety of groups and for people of all ages. 

NEURODIVERSE
SOCIAL GROUP

  • 8 session program - Monday's 4.30pm - 5.30pm​

  • Activity Based

  • Small Group - Limited places available

Commencing 25th of September!

The Neurodivergent Social Group is for adolescents between the ages of 16 and 18 years old. This group is appropriate for females or those who identify as transgender or non-binary.

​

​

​This group aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for adolescents to engage in enjoyable activities whilst building meaningful connections with other individuals.

In particular, this group is aimed at neurodivergent individuals, who are autistic, ADHD-ers or AuDHD-ers that may be struggling to find social connections with same-aged peers.

BRICK BUDDIES

SOCIAL GROUP​

FOR AGES 6 - 8

Brick Buddies provides a fun collaborative environment to support children to develop and enhance social, problem solving, and emotion regulation skills.​

​​

$80 Per session​

Medicare Rebates available & NDIS funding accepted

​

6 session, once every three weeks

First session to take place on Thursday 5th of October 2023 at 4:30pm

Once the group commences, membership will be closed so that the same group of children will complete the group sessions together. The group is conducted in-person in a semi-structured format: while there will be planned activities, the children will also be engaged in free play.

 

​

We are looking to run the group for older primary school-aged children (9-12 years old) in the future.

​

VIRTUAL TEA N' TALK

Do you want to:​

6 session group program via zoom​

Starting on Monday 30th of October from 10:30am-12:00pm

Open to anyone aged 18+ Bulk-billed
with a Mental Health Care Plan

This group aims to provide information about ways we can improve our general wellbeing. Topics of discussions include sleep and mindfulness; diet and exercise; information about depression and anxiety; and more.

​

 The skills and knowledge developed from this group can help you build healthy habits and improve your ability to cope with difficult emotions or situations.  These sessions are designed to supplement therapeutic techniques that may be addressed through undertaking individual therapy.

4 week experimental mindfulness workshop

Suitable for adults 18+

4 Tuesdays Commencing 10th of October 5pm-6m

​

The Introduction to Mindfulness group enables adults to experientially learn and incorporate mindfulness by paying attention to present moment experience with open curiosity and a willingness to be with what is.

 

Skills developed in this program can help support and provide opportunities to promote relaxation and support people to cope with stress, anxiety, depression, or pain.

Mindfulness is a practical skill which can be applied meaningfully and in everyday life.

$37 per session, Medicare benefits applicable
