Joelle Holdsworth - Psychologist

Joelle is a clinical psychology registrar who has experience undergoing assessments and therapy with client's across the lifespan.

Joelle has experience with a wide variety of client's using ACT, CBT, CFT, playbased therapy, motivational interviewing and positive psychology. Joelle is passionate about feedback informed treatment, believing strongly in the importance of making therapy a collaborative space. Joelle aims to lead with authenticity and to deliver compassionate and client centred support to her clients.

Joelle has experience undertaking psychological, ADHD, IQ and educational assessments. Joelle is passionate about accurate diagnosis, enjoying teasing apart differential diagnoses, looking at the nuances and specificities of the individual to ensure the most appropriate conceptualisation of clients to develop their own understanding and receive the best support.

I am passionate about providing accurate diagnoses to enable increased client understanding and appropriate treatment. I further have found that assessment allows you to develop your understanding of the nuances of psychological presentations beyond the DSM criteria. I particularly enjoy psychological assessments and ADHD assessments and teasing a part differential diagnoses to arrive at the appropriate outcome to assist clients.

Outside of psychology Joelle enjoys hiking, going to the beach, the ballet, travelling and movies.
