What is therapy?

Psychological therapy involves talking and listening so we can assess your mental health concerns and provide evidence-based treatment.  We gather information about you and your concerns and we use our knowledge, skills and and training to assess your mental health support needs.  We will then work with you using evidence based treatments to support you with your mental health concerns and achieve your therapeutic goals.

What treatments options are available?

We use evidence based treatment and techniques in therapy.  Some of the therapy treatments and techniques we may use includes:

  • EMDR

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Behavioural Therapy

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Play Therapy

  • Schema Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Narrative Therapy

Do I need a referral for this service?

You do not need a referral to see one of our Psychologists or Mental Health Social Workers.  However, there are funding options and rebates available for some people. These include people with referrals from:

  • A GP under Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)

  • NDIS

  • Workcover

  • TAC

  • Victims of Crime (VOCAT) 

What does it cost?

The cost of psychological treatment will vary depending on referral type and support needs.  Further information on our fee schedule can be found on the fees page.
