Laura Broadbent
Laura is a registered psychologist dedicated to supporting people in developing a deeper understanding of themselves through a warm, curious, and respectful therapeutic approach. Laura provides comprehensive assessments and tailored interventions across the lifespan, with a particular passion for working with autistic individuals of all ages.
Laura has worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma (including complex trauma), self-harm, and suicidality, as well as those navigating psychosis and related experiences. Laura's practice is grounded in a compassionate, recovery-oriented approach to support individuals in making sense of their experiences. Laura adheres to a Neuroaffirming framework, and utilises evidence-based approaches including ACT, Trauma-focused CBT, Motivational interviewing, and Emotion Focused Therapy, while always valuing clients as experts in their own lives.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Laura conducts comprehensive diagnostic assessments for a variety of neurodivergent presentations (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual disability). She is committed to creating a welcoming space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and identity.
