Sarah Ekdawi - Psychologist
Sarah has an interest in understanding human thought and behaviour has been a driving force throughout Sarahs career in psychology.
Supporting people as they work through challenges, whether it’s anxiety, repetitive thoughts, or navigating life with neurodivergence, starts with building awareness of how the mind works. Therapy provides a safe space to explore these patterns, develop practical tools, and move toward a stronger sense of well-being.
Sarah is a registered Clinical Psychologist Registrar with AHPRA, bringing experience in both clinical work and research. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University, and a Master of Clinical Psychology from Bond University. Alongside her studies, Sarah has contributed to research on artificial intelligence and human behaviour modelling, which has deepened Sarahs understanding of cognition and adaptive learning.
In addition to research, Sarah has worked as a Crisis Supporter at Lifeline and a Research Assistant at the Red Cross, where she provided emotional support to individuals during difficult times. Sarah has also worked across age groups, children, adolescents, and adults, adapting therapy to meet individual needs and strengths.
Sarahs therapeutic style is structured yet flexible, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. Sarah strives to create a space where clients feel supported, build resilience, and develop skills to achieve their personal goals.
